Susie Aybar lives in New York. She received a BA in Psychology from Duke University, a BSN from Northeastern University, and an MFA in Creative Writing from Manhattanville College.
She has worked as a freelance writer for several publications including Psych Central and Westchester Senior Voice. She spent many years facilitating writing workshops for people living with cancer and their family members at Gilda’s Club.
Susie’s non-fiction can be found in Door is a Jar Literary Magazine, Bright Flash Literary Review and Literary Mama. Her fiction has appeared in FlashFlood Journal, Tiny Molecules, and Honeyguide Literary Magazine. Her poetry can be found in ONE ART, Medical Literary Messenger, The San Pedro River Review, The Twin Bill, and others.
